Dedicated to exploring the critical connection between cardiac function and brain health, this symposium will underscore the importance of the heart-brain continuum. This link is especially vital for children suffering from congenital heart disease (CHD), where maintaining optimal cerebral oxygenation is crucial for favorable neurodevelopmental outcomes.

The event will highlight the significance of non-invasive monitoring devices in pediatrics, which offer real-time insights into hemodynamic variables, cerebral oxygenation, and intracranial pressure (ICP). These devices are instrumental in managing the balance between oxygen delivery and consumption, thus preventing brain injury and fostering optimal neurodevelopment.

The Alliance for Pediatric Device Innovation (APDI), led by Children’s National Hospital, plans to use the symposium’s outcomes as a basis for drafting a Request for Proposal (RFP) to invite applications for pediatric medical devices intended for use during the perioperative care of children undergoing heart and brain surgeries.

Join us at this essential symposium to contribute to the advancement of pediatric healthcare. Together, we can drive innovation and improve outcomes for children worldwide.

Attendees are encouraged to register to confirm attendance. For more information on the symposium or to RSVP, CLICK HERE.
